How to Reach Mathura By Air
The nearest airport from Mathura which is about 60kms is located at Kheria in Agra. One can get regular flight service that links it with other cities like Kolkata, Chennai, Mumbai and Bangalore.

 

By Rail/ Train
Since Mathura a prime railhead falls on both Central and Western Railways, it is conveniently linked with all the major cities of the rest of the country such as Jaipur, Gwalior, Hyderabad, Chennai and a whole lot more. The various Express and Super fast trains regularly run on this route.

 

By Road
The National highways link the holy town with other parts of the country. The Uttar Pradesh State Road Transport Corporation provides numerous buses to nearby cities such as Kanpur, Agra, Delhi and Lucknow. The availability of luxury coaches also make travelling by road easier. Apart from buses, one can easily get cycle rickshaws, auto, horse-carts to roam around the town freely.

 

Mathura Weather


Just like any other town of North India ,Mathura experiences upward swing in temperature most of the year. During summer, the temperature shoots upto 44 degree Celsius and sometimes even more with unbearable humidity. Nights are comparatively cooler as the temperature hovers around 28-30 degree Celsius. The holy town receives moderate rainfall. Winters are pleasant though a bit chilly. This period is the ideal time to roam around the sacred town. The minimum temperature at times goes below 2-3 degree celsius but mostly remains around 7-8 degree celsius.
